Activities at Pearson Park
For boating on the Sundays River there are two slipways, and there is access to the sea from the river mouth
The scenic Sunday’s River is one of South Africa’s largest tidal Rivers and offers guests the opportunity to drift with the tides while exploring the small game and bird life along the river banks. The river is mostly calm and peaceful with the high banks and spectacular sand dunes offering relatively good wind protection.
Sundays River is a very versatile angling river with guests enjoying success on either dropshot, rapalas, lures or bait. The Sundays River is known to produce very big Cob while trolling and fishing with live bait. Spotted Grunter are a good fish to target and are caught all year round. Leerie (Garrick) is another fish often targeted with success.
Sunday’s River Mouth and coastal surf zone is becoming increasingly popular for Kite Surfing as the mouth is mostly calm with good wind and offers kiteboarding beginners a great practice area.
Enjoy a chance sighting of small game on the nature walks and trails, available at Pearson Park Resort.
